Shadowlines
Shadowlines was the original ensemble that served as the platform for Marc Wagnon’s compositions, before the group Tunnels formed with bassist Percy Jones. Two albums were recorded in the late 80s and mid-90s - “Shadowlines”, and “An Afterthought” - both available on this site and on all streaming services. There was an LP titled “Shadowlines” released earlier which features some of the tunes of the CD and some earlier versions of the CD release.

“Conjunction” was recorded in the summer of 2000, bringing together an exceptional lineup of musicians. The project took advantage of the opportunity to work with the late Paul Jackson, who was in town for a week, after he had recently moved to Japan. The other talented musicians included Jed Levy and Chris Speed on tenor sax, Josh Roseman on trombone, and Dave Fiuczynski on guitar

The next two albums are from 2009: “Earth is a Cruel Master” where Marc plays both drums and vibraphone, and is joined by two musicians from the Shadowlines’ days: Van Manakas (also from Tunnels) on guitar and Leo Traversa on bass.
In 2019 “Interesting Times” was released, which is a collaboration with vocalist Sarah Pillow, and featuring old and new friends: Van Manakas on guitar; John O’Reilly Jr. on drums; bassists Leo Traversa and Jonathan Price; Tim Ouimette on trumpet (from Shadowlines); Maria Grand on tenor sax; Kevin Moehringer on trombone; Kevin Oliver on alto sax; and my good friend from the West Origin Trio, Tony Green on bass.
