Jazz@stronomy

Combining my love for music with my interest in astronomy has been a longtime dream. This project lets me explore and develop both passions. The first performance was at the Lower East Side Girls Club planetarium in Manhattan, and I am planning more performances at other planetariums, so stay tuned!

TAMCO

For the past four years, I have been working with the theater group TAMCO in Geneva, Switzerland. Our first collaboration was the production of Michel Vinaver's play "11 septembre 2001." This production was a resounding success and was staged again the following season. I believe it is time to bring this compelling work to New York. The play profoundly captures the deep humanity within people, demonstrating that the impact of the attacks extended far beyond New York, touching the entire world. Through its poignant narrative and characters, the play underscores the shared human experience and collective grief that transcended geographical boundaries, illustrating how a single event united the global community. Originally conceived as an 'oratorio’, I composed music to accompany the actors, who perform and sing in both French and English throughout the 60-minute performance.

DRUMTALK

Drumtalk is an e-Book that is a learning method for group percussion. It was the result of my teaching for several years with visually impaired students. The lesson plans I created became this ‘how to’ book for educators who would like to introduce polyrhythms to their students. Beyond enhancing coordination and comprehension of rhythmic concepts, group drumming cultivates a sense of cooperation and understanding. This shared rhythmic experience encourages communication and harmony, making it a powerful tool for resolving conflicts and building strong, cohesive communities.
